CASE STUDY

Improving Online Presence and Functionality for Tigerlily Foundation

Introduction:

Tigerlily Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to educating young women about breast health and breast cancer. Information Experts has been working with Tigerlily for over eight years, providing web development and design services to improve their online presence and functionality. This case study will explore the work done by Information Experts for Tigerlily and its impact on the organization.

Problem:

Tigerlily Foundation needed to improve its online presence and functionality to better reach its target audience and provide more resources for young women about breast health and breast cancer. The organization’s website was outdated and lacked the functionality to effectively communicate its message and provide the resources needed.

Solution:

  • Information Experts was contracted to complete a WordPress website redesign, which included adding web app functionality and multiple API integrations.
  • The process of redesigning the Tigerlily Foundation website involved the use of stakeholder interviews, end-user focus groups, user journeys, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes to ensure that the end product would meet the needs of the target audience.
  • User journeys were used to understand how young women interacted with the website and what information they needed to access. Wireframes were created to outline the structure and functionality of the website, while high-fidelity prototypes were used to visualize the design and user experience.
  • This iterative process allowed Information Experts to fine-tune the design and functionality of the website, ensuring that the end product would meet the needs of the target audience and effectively communicate the message of the Tigerlily Foundation.
  • Information Experts also conducted a Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) audit and brought the site up to compliance.

Impact:

The redesign of the Tigerlily Foundation website improved the organization’s online presence and functionality, making it easier for young women to access information about breast health and breast cancer. The website’s updated design and increased functionality allowed Tigerlily to better communicate its message and provide the resources needed by its target audience.

Conclusion:

Information Experts’ work for Tigerlily Foundation has had a significant impact on the organization, improving its online presence and functionality to better serve its target audience. The website redesign, ongoing support, and planned redesign of the entire website and creation of sub-sites will allow Tigerlily to continue to educate young women about breast health and breast cancer for years to come.
