The Practice

Different problems require different kinds of work.

Sometimes the work is investigation. Sometimes it's an application, an automated workflow, a better digital experience, or helping a team understand how to use AI. The point isn't to sell a particular solution. It's to figure out what would actually help.

Any of these can be commissioned on its own. Each begins the same way — understanding what actually needs to happen before deciding what to build, change, automate, or recommend.

§ I · Signature practice

Organizational Investigation

When something isn't working and the obvious explanation doesn't feel complete.

A focused engagement to uncover root causes, understand problems that are tangled together, and determine what actually needs to change — before committing resources to solutions.

§ II

AI & Automation

You don't need to arrive knowing which AI tool you need.

Justin can be commissioned simply to spend focused time understanding how your organization works and identifying where AI or automation may actually create value — and where it won't. Not every organization needs AI. Some need a better process first.

The work may be a focused advisory engagement, an automation project, an AI agent, an implementation, or some combination.

Practical training is available for teams and organizations, remote or in-person where practical: understanding modern AI, working effectively with it, AI-assisted work, workflow automation, building applications, agents and tool use, and responsible adoption.

§ III

Apps & Digital Products

Custom web applications, internal tools, AI-powered products and prototypes — designed and built.

Not concepts or mockups — real, working software for small and mid-sized organizations, nonprofits, founders, and teams with focused problems worth solving.

§ IV

Websites

Professional, custom websites shaped around how people actually look for things.

A website is often where an organization's deeper complexity shows up first. The work treats it that way — structure and purpose before surface, and a site that fits into the broader digital systems around it.

§ VI

Independent by design.

I work directly with the organizations I take on. When a project needs capabilities beyond mine, I bring in trusted collaborators rather than maintaining a traditional agency.
